Experience an authentic getaway and discover a surprising destination: sail on the Castrelo de Miño Dam, enjoy outdoor concerts, explore unique vineyards at the foot of the Miño River, and stroll through the living history of a unique region.

It can be done in one day, but we recommend that you take it easy and really savor the O Ribeiro area. For this trip, it is best to stay at least two days to explore O Ribeiro, Ribadavia, and the Miño River. We will coordinate all your activities and schedules with you; just let us know your travel dates.

What does this experience include?

→ Eco-friendly boat trip on the Castrelo de Miño reservoir. Sail silently over centuries-old vineyards and be amazed by an “inland estuary” surrounded by history and flavor.

→ Visit to a locally produced and environmentally responsible vineyard. In O Ribeiro there are many wineries, but also a deep tradition of respect for the grape and the land. Visit an organic and/or biodynamic winery, with a project to recover native varieties or vineyards that have been in the same family for over 100 years. We will confirm the winery after booking, subject to availability.

→ Guided tour of Ribadavia. Discover the past of Ribadavia and its role in the wine trade in Spain with a guided tour led by an official local tour guide.

→ Music at sunset. We have reserved a table for you to enjoy the sunset at the reservoir, with background music at the Club Náutico’s Atardeceres (Sunsets). (Does not include drinks or food. Only available on Wednesdays in August and Fridays in September).

What to bring

Bring comfortable clothing. You will explore vineyards with dirt roads, trails lined with majestic trees, and traditional villages and hamlets.

Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat to protect yourself from the glare of the water when we are sailing.

Is this a physically demanding activity?
No. The guided tours and activities are easy and suitable for children aged 6 and above.

What happens if it rains?
In the event that rain or extreme heat jeopardizes navigation or the safety of the visit to the vineyard and Ribadavia, a change of date will be offered.

Is it accessible?
Yes and no. The eco-boat allows wheelchair access. However, not all wineries are accessible, and the tour of Ribadavia must be adapted to avoid certain stairways.

Are pets allowed?
Yes, but only in private groups.

Can you swim in the reservoir?
Yes. Bring your swimsuit and towel, or reserve one of the kayaks to explore the area even further.
