Hot Air Balloon Ride in the Community of Madrid

Discover the landscapes of the Guadarrama Basin from the air. Its pastures, crops, and oak groves serve as a refuge for some protected species, just a stone’s throw from Madrid.

Itinerary:

Your adventure will begin at dawn with a peaceful and gentle hot air balloon flight. Depending on the season, you will be able to see how the landscape changes along the middle course of the Guadarrama River, between the towns of Villanueva de la Cañada and Villanueva del Pardillo.

As we pass by, you will be able to see some of the towns near the city of Madrid, the farmland and cereal crops, but also the unique flora and fauna of the protected environment of the Sierra del Guadarrama Regional Park, at an altitude of 650 meters above sea level, where roe deer, mountain goats, black vultures, and other endangered species live.

The flight lasts approximately one hour but also includes the opportunity to participate in inflating the balloon, a toast with Cava Brut, and a picnic lunch with Iberian ham, cheese, and tortilla. You will also receive a video report of your balloon flight.

What to bring

You will be standing throughout the tour, so it is advisable to wear comfortable clothing and footwear for this activity.

The entire activity takes place outdoors, so there is no access to restrooms.

 

Conditions

The schedule will be confirmed after booking. Usually, there is only one balloon flight per day, which takes place at dawn, before thermal currents form. This is usually at 6:30 a.m. in June and around 8:40 a.m. in December.

In case of unfavorable weather conditions, the flight may be canceled 24 hours in advance and new dates will be proposed at no extra cost.

The flight is not recommended for children under 4 years of age and/or who are less than one meter tall. It is also not recommended for pregnant women or people with serious bone diseases.
